This mobile seemed to have all the functions necessary to keep every baby and parent happy.
It projects butterflies on the ceiling, comes with a remote control and has the cutest litlle bears flying around.
To me it was a dissapointment. It makes a very annoying sound when it rotates and the bears would stop flying around after a few seconds because the rotating mechanism just gets stuck somehow (which also causes the irritating noise). In order to see butterflies on the ceiling the room must probably be pitch black.
Unfortunately I bought it months ahead, which made me unable to return it. Not happy about this one.

To me this is a definite must-have for every new parent.
This monitor does not only monitor sound but also detects movement/breathing, both can be switched on at the same time. It comes with a sensor pad that will fit under every standard cot mattress. Not only does it give extra reassurance, it can actually save a baby's life.
It will sound an alarm after 20 seconds if there is no movement or breathing detected.
Works with a a/c power adapter as well as with rechargeable batteries for in case of a power-outage.

I myself would not use any other baby monitor than this one. It gives me peace of mind which is very important since every parent needs a good night's sleep.
